Frequently Asked Questions.

Most of our members have left the world of work behind a little while ago and come down the Shed to relax and enjoy each other’s company. It is true we have good facilities for woodworking, using our range of power tools such as table saws, band saws or router tables. However, you would be equally welcome if the only thing you made was a round of teas.

No, it is true that most who attend are retired, but we do also have younger members. Currently we run sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings, plus Saturday morning specific for members who are at work during the day.

We are located across the car park from the Old Village Hall on Old School Lane. Set the sat-nav to GU46 6NG and it should find us.

We are normally open all week except Sunday. Our current session times can be found on the “Opening Times” page.

We regularly take on repair projects of items such as garden benches and household furniture. We also receive commissions for bird boxes, hedgehog houses, bird tables and even a communion set for a local church. If it is within our skillset, we love to have a go and donations for our work are always good for Shed funds.

Sorry, none of current members are qualified to repair electrical items, but we know people who do. Try Crowthorne Repair Café located in the Baptist Church Hub, 144 High Street, Crowthorne RG45 7AT. The Repair Café is open 10:30am – 12:30pm on the last Saturday of each month.

We are grateful for all offers of equipment and materials, but can only accept items that we are able to use. Please contact us in advance to arrange a drop-off of any donations. Contact Shed

We are always pleased to receive financial support to the Yateley Men’s Shed Charity (registration 1202685), and even small amounts can make a big difference. These can be left at the Shed during opening times or contact our Treasurer, Steve Bond’s email: ymstreasure190@gmail.com

You can turn your daily shopping into cash benefits to the Shed without it costing you a penny. Sign up to Easy Fund Raising and when you shop at one of the 8,000 participating brands, the Shed receives a small cashback to its funds.

We welcome both men and women to become members of our Shed. Our current membership includes three women, who make a valuable contribution to our team.

New members are always welcome, go to our Membership Page for full details
